Establishing a utopia on Earth is what the Yankees set out to do when they left England to establish New England, and later, when they migrated to the Left Coast. So it should come as no surprise that we here at Left Coast take a keen interest in utopian visions.
The summer movies are coming. Here are this week’s notable trailers, led by The Little Prince (see above).
What is essential is invisible to the eye.
The film stars the voices of Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, Marion Cotillard, James Franco, Benicio del Toro, Ricky Gervais, Bud Cort, Paul Giamatti, Albert Brooks and Mackenzie Foy. If it’s legit chills you’re after, watch Nick Bostrom’s presentation, “What happens when our computers get smarter than we are?” It’s filled with real thoughts and fears about what artificial intelligence may portend for humanity. Behold:
It’s curtains for you, doctor. Lacy, gently wafting curtains.
