Obama Designates Berryessa-Snow Mountain as California’s Newest National Monument

↑ Bob Schneider has been working for seven years on getting national recognition. He is the policy director for the conservation group Tuleyome, and spoke with KQED’s Devin Katayama about the region.

Berryessa-Snow Mountain in Northern California is one of the state’s most biologically diverse regions. Now it’s a national monument. President Obama made that designation this morning for nearly 350,000 acres of public land.
